Background

Ten years ago, churches across the area joined together in a continuous time of worship called the Hastings and Rother Worship Baton. An engraved conductor’s baton was passed between 70 churches and ministries, each leading their own style of worship. This followed two similar Prayer Baton events. Visitors were welcomed to join, creating a visible
movement of worship and prayer. The new Take the Baton project is a new vision for today’s generation — with a focus on children and young people.
